Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has had good results using Bug B Gone Multi Purpose Concentrate. It is one of the only pesticides that we have seen that says it works on both squash bugs and squash vine borers. We used Seven last year that really didn't do much on the adults squash bugs and nothing on the borers. There are so many different things for bugs it gets really confusing.
Thanks

I picked up a bottle of Bug B Gone last year for some other pest problems, and noticed the active ingredient was Esfenvalerate, nothing I had ever heard of. Since then I have read somewhere that it is a type of pyrethrin similar to that used in warrior-t but not nearly as strong. It IS labeled for borers, but interestingly I have done searches on the 'net and could not find any reference to anyone using it against them. Either it doesn't work at all, or it is still new on the market and not many people have tried it. Since I have it already, I will be trying it this year. I too would be interested to know of anyone's experiences with it.

Esfenvalerate commercially sold as "Asana XL" which is labled for squash vine borers.
