I turned a sprinkler on full ,it coveres aprox 400 sq ft ,sprayed 3 gallons bleach on a area about 15 ft x 15 ft = 225 sq ft so it got over 1 gallon per 100 sq ft ,I kept the sprinkler on for 3 hrs , it all went into ground ,not run off, ok next day could not smell any bleach, then 3 days after a few weeds & grass clumps still there & look fine still , ,,Im not sure what it did to soil but i dont think it did much, Now today i put in some rye grass i will let know how it does there !! I was suprized that the grass clumps did not die !!!, BUT on other hand i have a 300 gallon tank of water that has water in it for months & is getting mosquitoes & turning green , I poured only aprox 2 cups bleach into it (300 gallons) & in few days it cleared & mosquitoes are dead , So im just wondering what happened to soil under where i sprayed ?? ANYONE ELSE EVER TRY ANYTHING SIMILAR ?? OR care to reply ??

you really diluted the bleach, three hours of sprinklers is a lot of water, do you think you got 30 gallons of water on the same area that got one gallon of bleach? I am interested in what happens.

Hey Gary !!First thanks for responding i cant figure out what to do with patch ? Except give up !! ( But i do love to grow these giants ,& had plans to do a lot with patch) Im trying this approach as cant afford expensive stuff, if economy keeps up i may not have patch much longer along with my house or anything else, So i herd of someone else doing this & they said it worked & grew a state record the next yr ! The reason i watered it in is the ground was dry & i kept monitoring it & it took that much to get even a few inches down, maybe i should soak ground first ??
