I have heard of a few excellent growers using cleary's before they plant in the spring.
Is this effective, or does cleary's only work once a disease is present in your plant? I'm confused about how this product works.

Thiophanate-methyl works by killing diseases that are in active respiration only. If a pre-plant drench or a (granular tilled) it would no longer be effective during the summer rhizoctonia peak period. That said, there might be some limited residual that Cleary's doesn't want us to know about.
