last year i put the garden hose in their hole. waited about ten miniutes for it to come up then me or my nephew; when he was here; would shoot them with my pellet gun. how do you get rid of them?

Well there are two kinds of gophers primarily. The Pocket Gopher which spends most of its life below ground digging tunnels. Then there is the striped gopher, which is like a small ground squirrel. Almost looking like a chipmunk. Best disposal method is trapping them with a trap called the "Black Hole". We waged war against these little SOB's when we moved in here. They ate several seedling off. Start hard in the spring before they reproduce.

You could use strick9 poisening or you could also smoke them out. What I mean by that is you could go to the local homedepot and get a smoke bomb especially for gophers. Light the fuse and cover the hole. I actually put 4 smoke bombs in there holes this morning.
