One of my plants shows severe wilting over night. Any suggestions what it is ( Bact. wilt, Fusarium , other fungus) and what to do ? Thanks a lot Benny

We had the same problem. One day we checked out our vine and it was the best plant out there, the next day 10 feet of the vine was just completly wilted. We don't think it could be SVB because this vine is planted inside our brothers butterfly house which is more or less insect proof. Water did not help at all. It is also a new patch quite a ways from where any other squash/pumpkins have been planted in the last 30 years! So we too need help. Anybody know what this new enemy is?

Casual visual observation can identify wilting as a valid symptom. Other than drought or a vine break, only a lab analysis will be able to pinpoint the cause of a vascular system's failure.
Oh....pull a mushy vine apart. Are there any threads trying to hold on?

One of my plants is wilting just like your picture shows. It was fine yesterday. Did you figure out what caused your wilting? Does anyone have any more ideas?
