while trimming some old beat up leaves i found 3 smaller old shaded leaves that were growing underneath larger leaves with the beginnings of powdery mildew. does not surprise me this is where it would take hold in this cool cloudy weather we have had here. just thought i would throw the heads up out there. my spraying program will be amped up a bit from here on. might be a good idea to take a look at them old half dead leaves and see which ones are worth anything at all. the beat up old ones are always the first place i see pm start from. and any half broken leaf lying under the canopy is suspect from being shaded by the other leaves.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Thanks for the heads up.
