Could be Jap (or similar) beetle feeding activity. Granular fert left on the leaves can cause this as well.

Dont use granulars after setting pumpkins only liquid. Thinking cuke beetles or squash bugs. I am beig swarmed by pests. Hard to control raining every 3-5 days. Thanks

Rain like that requires a systemic. Get some Merit 75WP or similar Imidacloprid product. Dead Cuke beetles will litter the ground in less than a week.
