Does anyone know what Johnson grass is, I don't know if that is the proper Name but that is all I have ever heard it called. It is a grass with a stem and leave structure about like corn, only a little smaller. The root system for every plat is huge... The roots are jointed about every inch or so and a plant comes up fom each joint. The plant will sprout even if the root is a foot deep! The roots can be five feet long! It grows extremely fast and get very large. I can not find away to get rid of it. The roots are way to numerous to pull by hand and it is all over my garden, which is 110'x60'.
Does anyone know what am I talking about? And more importantly does anyone know how to get rid of it. Suggestions or solutions would be more than welcome.
Thanks Justin

I have used Round Up before with good results. Anything it touches when you spray it on dies in about 10 days from the roots. It needs a few hours before watering or rain washes it off to set in.I have pulled dead weeds and planted with no visible harm to the next plant. If it is windy and touches your pumpkin, veggies or flowers say good night. It is sold at all major stores with garden centers.

Roundup Ultra works evn better than Round-up, available at your local Ag store. It's expensive, but concentrated and will last for years, dilute with water.
