I have some Bifen XTS which is 25.1% Bifenthrin. I was wondering how to mix this for spraying on my AG's. The place I got it from said to mix it @ 1.6 ozs. per gallon. They told me the same mix for all percentages of Bifen that they had. This seems to be to strong to me. Anybody know?

I would say that is way to Strong!!!
I use Ortho Max which is 0.3% Bifin On the directions it says to mix it at 1.5 oz per Gallon in a tank sprayer.
That is the rate I mix at and it is very effective against all insects, sometimes I even mix it a little lighter then that like 1 oz per gallon as well. I always wait to spray till the sun is on the horizon in the evening, if not this stuff will burn the leafs. I do not spray vine tips or really new growth.

If my math is as good as it once was, it looks like
0.16 oz will give you the same concentration level as the Ortho Max concentration level. Note: I am not positive on this, this might still be a little to strong.
I would Wait to see what others have to say as well.

We do fine with .33 oz/gal though at 1.0 oz/gal it takes out late season mites. Young growth is too tender for these high rates.

Thanks for all the information. When I got this I knew it was a lot stronger than what I had been reading about here on BP. I just wanted to be sure.
Thanks again
