Does anyone know generally how long mycorrhiza is good for just sitting in a sealed bag? It has been kept in a cool, dry place.

Mycorrhiza should have an expiration date on it. 2 years is usually the longest that you want to keep it. If you have any left at the end of the season, toss it on your patch with your fall cover crop and innoculate your whole patch.

How does it stay alive all those months when it is a dry substance devoid of any water nearby ?....or mixed with a super-fine vermiculite medium equally dry ?

Thanks folks:-) I'll probably spread the remainder in the patch to give my soil a good head start.
