Whats up with that? I have not seen a single cucumber beetle and only one SVB moth. Usually they are swarming by this time of the year last year we had them in early May. I hope this does not mean there will be more than usual later.

Yeah but they live in the bean field. Farmer does not rotate crops beans for 5 years.

2 Years ago the cuke's and other bugs were swarming my patch. It was full out war against them. I prepared myself last year for battle and only saw 1 or 2 bugs the whole season. I'm not sure if it was weather related but I attribute it to the neighbours giant new vegetable garden. I think the new veggy garden next door acted like bait and kept them off my patch because I would go for a walk once in a while and their garden was full of all kinds of little critters. Nic, you got any new vegetable gardens near by that could be getting all the bug attraction?
