Hello, last year was my first year with a garden and my jackolanterns got completely wiped out by the vine borer. I have already seen a many of them flying around my Atlantic Giant over the past few weeks. My question is will a light coating of Sevin dust along the main vine primarily where the main stem leaves the ground be effective against larvae from boring in? Thanks in advance,
Luke

Never been a fan of Sevin spray or dust. Kills bees, worms, and beneficial mite predators.
Triazicide, bifenthrin, warrior, capture, etc as liquids are all friendlier and more effective.
