I'm a new grower this year, and am not sure what these bumps on my leaf stems are. I have two plants and these are on both. Have sprayed for vine borers, buried the main vine, etc. Any thoughts? Putting pics up on grow diary. Thanks for any help.

They are from minor wind damage.

Most bumps are lenticlea which help exchange oxygen. Others support the coarse hairs the plants make in self defense. Still others become airiele roots.
Can you post CLEAR image?

I've seen those as an indicator of excess nitrogen here. The plants low in N never get the ripples. Nothing to be worried about.

North Shore Boys, I had that happen after high winds before. I am not making stuff up. LOL Although I did use a lot of nitrogen that year.

I always considered them "strengthening ribs" ...a plants adaptation to stresses of big leaves on tall posts...
