I thought I would let all of you know that I found Imidacloprid at Walmart. Its the stuff that has been talked about a lot on this site. I know people have mentioned that they use it on their pumpkins. Its called "Season-Long Grub Control". Its in blue bottle and made by Bayer. I'm not sure If its as strong as the stuff in the 4 o.z. bottles. It contains 1.47% Imidacloprid. I bought some to try on the 4 plants at my In-laws. Dean o

Chris here in CT (Bushwacker) got this type earlier this year & we worked out the conversion. I have a new mail server now so that emails are history. Perhaps he'll see this & be able to post the rate we came up with.
If you check Len Stellpflug's article on systemic insecticide useage (see "how to" section from home page) you can see how he uses it. Len uses Admire which is 20% active ingredient. I can't find my calculator here but 20% divided by 1.47% is about a 13 or 15 fold rate increase to get to the same require load per plant.
The results will be the same if you're still in time.
