I think we all knew they were coming early this year. Caught one in a trap yesterday...no lure either. Heck, I haven't even planted yet!

I thought the name of your post was the name of a new magazine..."SVB Today"! Wow, I'm in KY also and need to get my traps out right now! Thanks very much for the warning.

Do you guys have Chicory that just started blooming? That normally was the sign the Growing Degrees Days Had been reached and it was time to spray a contact

I'm not sure about Chicory Linus, I need to look into that. Dogwood in full bloom around here according to the old timers is when to be on the lookout. Heck, our Dogwoods are leafing out already.

Jamie, got a lil rain this pm, and am wondering? I don't have a plant in the ground yet, either!!! and it's two weeks later!!! Advice? put out traps (and draw them in)?, or wait till I have plants in the ground, & then set the traps? Peace, Wayne

I'm not sure Wayne but it seems like a bonus to be able to capture these critters with no plants in the ground yet. I put my traps out just to air them out since they'd been in the barn all winter. I still haven't placed the lure in them. I caught another squash bug yesterday....I've never caught squash bugs in my SVB traps before!
