Just posted a pic of SVB eggs, not sure if they made it to the gallery yet but can be seen at link listed. Found 7 today, 6 yesterday, 6 Wed, 6 Tue, 5 Mon, etc. Been out at 5:30am Wednesday with fly swatter in hand, but didn't see the moth by 8:30 so went back inside. (Only so long you can sit on a cinder block waiting.) Collected 5 of the 7 and have them stuck on a piece of tape pondering what chemicals I can experiment with. Maybe throw them in a jar with a piece of leaf or stem to see how they live/work/eat/destruct.
There's a pair of SVB eggs next to each other on a tendril stem. (the vine is lifted up in the air and the tendril end cannot be seen.) Keep in mind these are larger than actual size; they are not much bigger than the ball of a ball point pen. (medium Bic I think, and slightly oval.)
For a better view at 800x600 resolution, see my web pics below or go to: http://server3001.freeyellow.com/bowtiesupply/img/garden/_SVB_eggs2.JPG

I'm glad we finally got some good pics of them. I squished the ones that I found without even thinking about it. Then I couldn't seem to find any more to take pictures of...I'm not sure yet if thats a good thing or a bad thing. Probably bad. --Bruiser

I went into the garage today and I can't find the piece of tape I stuck the other 5 on. (My garage is disorganized more than most peoples' attics or closets) Maybe it blew away. I really wanted to subject them to all kinds of chemicals to see what it will take to get rid of them! I was using Malathion, Methoxychlor, Rotenone & Pyrethrin, Dipel Bt, and a mix of all of the above with some 3-2-2 fish/seaweed and some spreader/sticker liquid. Saturday I dusted with a puffer can of Fruit & Garden Dust. I'm pretty sure it has Malathion, Methoxychlor, Carbaryl (Sevin) and Captan. Sunday, I didn't find any eggs.
