these things are in the billions around my patch. same time every year! what can i lay around my plants to keep them away? im not sure what they eat. i put diazonon around the house there to keep them away.

There was a discussion about this earlier in the general talk. Apparently some millipedes will in fact eat living plants. I found some insecticide powder that you dust on top of the soil surrounding the plants. This appeared to work.
