Im leaving my sprinkler on for 12 hours in hopes i can Drown the remaining borers by creating puddles. Can Squash Vine Borers be drowned? I hope so!

to be honest with you, i dont think this is going to work. if there are borers in your vines, you can water till the cows come home, its not going to do anything. you'll probably just end up damaging your plant with all that water.

With everything that we tried, once they were in there the most successful strategy was to watch the vines for wilting leaves and then dig them out with a knife. It's easier than it sounds... I found that they didn't travel too far.
Now that I'm (mostly) past that, I'm spraying the new growth to prevent a second generation.

Yeah thats a good way to find them or look for a wilting leaf also. Thats what I've been doing and the vine has always recovered although i do lose the leaf.
