I noticed some strange white spots on the leaves of the pumpkin plant. A couple of days later, those leaves turn yellow and then they die. What's the problem? How can I prevent this?

Sounds like Powdery mildew. Spray the entire plant with a fungiside like Daconil today,5 days later, and once a week after that.Especially the undersides of the leaves. Spraying the soil beneath the leaves is helpful too. Trim away lost leaves and disgard anywhere far away...do not compost them.Air flow is important so if your plant is crowded then it will be more prevalent. Re-apply after rain and dont overhead water or water at night.Keep leaves as dry as posible......good luck......G

Daconil will treat powdery mildew, but will not change or repair any damage already done. It will only help prevent the spread of P.M. Also remove any old leaves, plant refuse lying on the ground.
