Can someone tell us what the tiny white insects we recently noticed on the underside of our leaves? We sprayed them today with Bug-B-Gone and think that knocked them off, but we don't know what they are.
Thanks - RVSK

Sounds like whiteflies. I'm not sure if BugBGone will kill them but I know Sevin and Diazinon will. I've had them on my tomatoes and pumpkins and disposed of them easily.
P.S. How big is that pumpkin getting? I've been waiting to see an update from you guys!

They sound like white flies to me to. I have some and will spray tomorrow. I had a black and green racer (snake) to sitting on one of the leaves trying to catch the flies. I took a picture and will put it on the net when I get them developed.

Hi -- We had heard about white flies, but never thought they were so small. We think they do quite a bit of damage in a short time, so we will be working hard to keep them off. Our pumpkins are still growing slow, but sure and we will have an update soon. Thanks for helping us out! RVSK

I went out this afternoon and in 1 day the white flies have covered my plants. Everying is very sticky. I will spay again tomorrow morning before I go to the State Fair again to watch the local 4-H kids shoe their chickens.

Suzy,
I dont think you can "Spay" pumpkins per se. But as Bob Barker says: "Get your Dog or Cat Spayed or nuetered" .
