I was trying to look through my patch when i noticed what looks like a secondary vine on steroids! The vine is abnormaly thick and grotesque looking. The leaves never did develope. It looks like as soon as they tried to bud out, there growth stopped. The tap roots that normally come out at the bottom of each leaf node are deformed as well. They are unusually thickand just curl back up to itself instead of down towards the ground, looking much like mountain rams horns.the vine grew normally to a certain extent, but then abnormality started. The vine has not really progressed in length anymore either. It seems to be trying to grow in a spiral-type form. What caused this? Should I prune this section off? Please advise. thanks!
