I was wondering if there was anything good to use on stink bugs before planting so they dont appear in my garden this year. If not what should I use when they first appear.
-Thanks

Fast acting & fairly short residual insecticides that contain Permethrin are good when timed right. Look for Pounce or Ambush if you have access to Pro Agriculture chemicals. Nonrestricted Permethrin materials include Astro & Permethrin-Pro.
Big old ugly guns for licensed applicators only include Asana, Furadan, etc.
Newer & safer (but still restricted) are Capture, Warrior, etc.
Not restricted (nor labeled for pumpkins) but equally effective are Talstar-One & Scimitar.
Still less concentrated (& also not labeled for Pumpkins) are the consumer insecticides that contain Lambda-cyhalothrin such as Triazicide.
Hope this helps.
