So the year started off pretty good, but recently I've been having a bug problem and I need some suggestions. Here is a link to me grower diary for the picture of the damage. (there is also a picture of cows, sorry,that was an accident). Link: http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=324829

Looks like bacteria leaf spotting to me. If you see brown triangles/spots on other leaves watch them closely. If they end being holes, then my money is on a bacterial leaf spotting. I had it one year. Only bright side is that it does not overwinter well in the soil.

Go out at night with a flashlight. Especially on a warm damp night. That being said I cant tell what it is for sure. If you are foliar feeding, tiny specks of undissolved fertilizer can also cause leaf spotting which can later become holes.

Reverse psychology - this is NOT cucumber beetle damage nor is it slug damage. Do not follow pumpkinpal2's advice - it will kill your plant and you'll have a walnut tree where your AG used to be.
More realistically, though, this one below is pretty much as bad, the only pic I could find that was even close (go figure) and I'll bet the farm on severe cucumber beetle and slug damage. They are working together, just for you.

Hell, I don't mind posting this one again, which, in my opinion, is also slug plus cucumber beetle damage:

You should be able to see BOTH vermin in and around your plant.
(yellow and black-striped beetles =-=-=-=--==-) maybe spotted (. . . . . . .)
I don't have much slug KILLER experience, but the above is maybe what you should use FOR the slugs, once found to be one of the culprits (yeah);
pal2's BS from yesterday:
'BioAdvanced Complete Insect Killer' with Imidacloprid and Bifluthrin (I'll not go check it again, lol) - I think it's about $12 for about a 24 oz. bottle, mixed and applied PER the directions and your plants would be a no-fly, no-beetle nor bug zone overnight. 1 TBSP. per GALLON of water and apply to the entire plant with a watering jug although systemic and you're done for a week or 2 or until your plant is large enough to have outgrown this recent treatment.
Any open flowers will KILL BEES(!!!) and... I wish there were a selective insecticide or Bug Killer-Ready species of bees anymore;' (edited).
You cannot do anything about the damage that was done, but this stuff will do the trick real quick. Again, I hate killing bees, even when my only contact with them is swearing when they foul up a controlled pollination! ha ha ha later----eric g

My first thought was also this isn't just insects, I agree with orange u glad. You might have bacterial leaf spot or some other systemic sort of problem going on. With insects you will typically see the physical hole that is removed. You have an awful lot of yellowing and necrotic spots on the leaves too. Have you seen heavy loads of cuke beetles on your plant?

I'm with big moon and orange U Glad on this one. Get some " Phyton35 " and spray away. It can really jack up your ph when you mix it so make sure you spray it 5.8 6.5. I had this same look a few years back and this fixed my problem really quick!

??? Errr, I mean ???; Funny that the typing above, almost all of it, is black and yellow. I'll keep it to less than a paragraph this time - read every word from every grower above and you'll figure it out, I hope. Your cows are sweet, by the way, in a very all-natural setting. eg
