Wondering if anyone has recommendations for organic systemics? I found one product online called SNS-209 which uses rosmaric acid to dissuade pests from eating plant tissue.
Has anyone tried this, or have any others that are worthwhile?

I would be very interested in an organic systemic insecticide. I will never use traditional systemics again, too much colatteral damage. My choice, I don't judge.

Good question! John Kempf Advancing Eco Ag (youtube) has made a claim that with his new take on "perfect nutrition" plants can become impervious to insects and diseases. In other words, correcting imbalances or deficiencies can cure anything. Thats quite a claim, but the sap testing he believes in... it does seem like a technology that presents thousands of new doors.
Could garlic be emulsified in a way the plant would absorb it?

Hey Kevin, hope you are well!!
Organocide and garlic barrier work reall well but are not systemic, contact only but work really well. We use both products on our vegetable gardens and fruit trees and the only drawback is you must keep applying weekly.

Great question and I'd be interested in this for my veggie garden! Organic is possible in the veggie garden but you really have to stay on it. Someone does need to come up with a good organic systemic for our veggies, if its even possible.
I know so of the biggest fungicide guys out there, they treat millions of acres of places like McDonalds and most fast food chains. They tell me these farmers use merit and many of the systemic fungicides we use on our pumpkins almost right up to harvest... Then we eat this stuff.:(
They look at it as loosing millions of acres of potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes, ETC or using these fungicides to make it through the season. Seems criminal to me. Yes, I do eat fast food now and again.
Another reason not to eat fast food.
I'm fully geared up when even drenching some of these fungicides from head to toe there're so strong, but yet I'm willing to eat their food no problem. lol

Glenn is correct, many applications are necessary to keep things in check. Three years ago I was overrun with cuke beatles to the point I had no fruit set on the pumpkins or cucumber plants. Last year I went with a mostly organic regimen and I had no pests at all, although it was a lot of work. Other than Bordo, a copper based fungicide and tons of myco, I don't have any issues with pests or fungus. This alone is a win for me.

Ok well I ordered some SNS-209 and will post the results after I try it. I've got some squash that the leaf miners are chewing up. If the new growth comes out and has no damage we will have an answer.
