One of my plants has developed many tiny holes in the first true leaf. These plants were only transplanted last week in cold frames. Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this?

It's time for the detective hat. You could have early Cucumber Beetles (see releated threads for pics) or you might have Slugs. Are there any "Slime Trails"?

Take a real close look at the leaves. I get tiny flea beetles every year. Reach down and touch the leave and you can see 'em jump. The Ortho Problem Solver Book recommends Sevin. I usually scatter them off the plant and spray the surrounding area. Good luck! Duff
