Hi, I have a few voles in my garden and want to eliminate them before they reach my pumpkin patch.... What products (active ingredient) can be recommended?
I just bought a product called "Detia, Wühlmaus Killer". It's 560 g/kg aluminiumphosphid (PH3). According to the package it is very toxic ("sehr giftig").
Does this sound like a product that should work?
Thanks, Martin

Probably not as good as Zinc Phosphide (restricted use here) but yeah, that'll work. It's better than the general use warfarin products folks can buy here.

Try a dog or cat. Before we had neighbors move in next door the rifle would work. We live on 5 acres. Good luck fighting the darn things.

Martin,
Don't know if you can get it, but Rodex works well for me!

Rat traps baited with apple works for me. See Picture (Voles with woodchuck teeth) under Capt. Works very well for chipmunks in the strawberry patch.

Mouse traps worked for me. I baited them with cheese wiz. The little suckers set off four of them in the first two hours with getting them. But it must have scared the crap out of them because they left.
