I'm burying my main vine this year. I was wondering where the SVB will attack. Below ground? By the stump? Leaf stems?
Thanks, Paul

leaf stems are a common entry point.

I was also wondering if burying the vine would cover entry points. Vine borers have always entered in my main vine. This is the first year I was planning to bury the vine but that worries me.

I think one of the benefits of burying the vines is that you minimize entry points.
