There is no shortage of instructions on the www but none in plain old fashioned English.
Two systems, both running Windows XP. One is hardwired to cabel & the other via Linksys-G 2.4Gb wireless router.
Normally the IP address conflicts don't last very long. But its a royal PIA anyway.
Can someone explain the fix in plain English?

Steve, call me The Hard wired must have the IP address set in the networking properties of the Network card, while the wireless assigns you an address from a pool. Easy fix. Tom
