Yesterday we had a hard drive in the web server fail. Luckily, we have RAID 1 so the website did not go down. However, the replacement drive has arrived so I will be taking down the website to replace it. Stay tuned.

I'd like to contribute some dead presidents also. But what about looking at the bigger picture. Were always looking out for our own. How about a seed auctions to benefit BP.com. Maybe set it up as the last auction of the season. I'd be more than willing to help, but don't know enough about the workings of an auction to run with it.

Ken - you can always reach out for financial help anytime.
Just say the word.
As always...Thanks for keeping this bugger up & running without the commercial popups. I'm sure most of us would rather pay a subscriber fee.

Ken, Thanks for all you do, I have found this site to be a must, very informative and sometimes also very amusing! Feel that alot of us would be totally lost without this great service, would like to also offer a donation....would you accept a monetary donation or would you prefer something with a little more kick to it?!!!

I have stated before that when the SNGPG has a auction or SEED PROMO/MEMBERSHIP DRIVE we always forward a portion of the net to Ken. Likewise for the GPC work that Ken does as well.
Best thing to do is request his home address and just send it along, cause he will never ask for it. Its not his style. Kens a classy guy that way. Pap

Thank you all for your generosity. The replacement hard drive came out of the money provided by groups that hold their auctions on the site. I was finally able to get the replacement hard drive into the server and working yesterday afternoon. We did not lose any data or images. The replacement drive should have went in easier but I could not find an exact match and when you have a RAID setup they have to be nearly the same drive to work properly. I will be looking at replacing the database server (which is the older of the two servers) before the end of January 2007.
