With the state record thread still going, have you considered adding a page with known state records on it? I'm sure pumpkin politics would be present there, but it would also provide some interesting info, say comparing Alabama to Georgia. Just a thought.

Duncan has a state record page on his site already. Are you looking for something different than that? We are not opposed to it at all just thought maybe we could come up with our own "spin" on it. If you have specific requirements please list them on this message thread and John and I will create one.

If you wanted your own spin on a state record page, perhaps you could list two columns, the official state record/grower and a column that lists the largest official fruit grown by a registered BP.com user for each state. This would give some recognition to the users of this site, which they deserve. Post your thoughts if you like the idea. If there is interest, we can decide who will do the data collection.

Neat idea. Don't know if there is anything we can do for the out of towners like the UK, Canadian, Euopean growers, but, I like the idea.

I like Joze's idea. It may actually encourage some of the "lurkers" out there to post too. It would be way cool to see how we stack up to others in our own state (like top 10 or something).

You could link the weights up to the growers latitude,
I'm 50 degrees and something,must be similar to Floeberger and Giant Veggies.It would work well for people in places where there aren't many growers.Just a thought.
