Is there anyway that the number of threads that show on a page can be increased from 20? They scroll off the screen in only a few days and commenting on one that doesn't appear on the first page is a waste of time because no one will ever read it.

I remember way back when all the threads would show up but then it started to get cumbersome as the boards grew and it took forever to load so I understand the reasoning on limiting the number on a page. 20 seemed fine for a couple of years but now the site is so busy they fly off the page before they reach a good conclusion. Actually it's probably only the General Discussion board where this happens.

Anyway, do you think 50 on a page would be too many? I'm starting to miss stuff and you know how I hate to miss stuff:)

I agree! If it is possible, I think it should be considered.

You can reformat your own computer screen to do this. You virtually have to in order to view anything at AGGC, especially the hierarchy trees.

Close or minimize all open windows. Right click the background. Choose the settings tab. Raise or lower the pointer to reset the screens pixel size. Click OK.

Or just click "next page" at the bottom of the board. The older threads are still there. They just end up on the next page.

I think Ken & John have plans to change the way the threads run here. Some servers allow for the first thread on a board to always be the last one posted to. So dying threads die & active ones stay. And if someone posts to a page 2 thread, it gets pushed back up to the front of the line again. That might be cool here.

I personally like the active-dead thread thing steve mentioned. When a post gets a response, it gets bumped to the top. That way, good quality threads stay alive. Duds drop out quick.
