Is it possible to ad a spell check to the posting box?? With my lousy spelling and addiction to using spell check it would be great??

The only way I can think of is to type your post in word, do spell check then cut and past into the thread. A little cumbersome, but it will work.

I've seen some posts here that would leave the "spell check" dumbfounded!

Definitely possible. I've done it for some website projects I've developed for clients. We might need to raise some more money for Ken and John to get it implemented though. The good web-based spell check engines are a little pricey.

Hey folks......search "AS YOU TYPE". It works fine if you don't forget to turn it on. :)

Websters dictionary has a word search you can add to your desktop and even a free search box John and Ken could add to this website. If you misspell a word it will give you examples of what you MAY have been trying to spell!

No spell check please, I get great enjoyment when someone gets upset on the site & rips someone else but misspells every other word. Because you know they go back & read it later and feel like such a ass.....LOL

I was wondering. If you are a lousy speller. Does that mean you are intellectually challenged? Or just plain stupid?

I'm with Huff. It's too funny to read some of the stuff people post on here.

You could always do what I do, use a dictionary. It only takes an extra 30 seconds per post and keeps you from looking like a retard.

If you look the same word up enough times you may actually remember how to spell it on your own. Back when I was in school we called that "learning".

Of course that's probably not included in the propaganda laced curriculum that they are shoveling today. You probably know who the first gay-asian-phyically-challenged-American business woman was but you don't know how many toes you have.

Sequoia, I don't think it means a whole lot. I'm a chemist with 20 patents so I don't think I'm stupid, yet I have a lot of trouble with spelling.

Maybe it is intellectually challenged???????
Oh well

Why not type it in Word first, do a spell check, then copy and paste?
Problem solved - all words and grammar checked.

With spell check, we wouldn't have as much fun with our "who really has the accent?" posts.

I was a real good at spelling in school. But now I really stink. Sometimes I wonder where my brain has gone.

Try a spell check in Word for "Lambda-cyhalothrin" or "Phytophthora" & see how fast Bill Gates gives up. Half the words we need help with aren't in Word until we teach it.

If your looking for a nice little spell checker try the one from http://iespell.com .. It puts a little icon in your tool bar at the top of the browser page so it's easy to use, just click the icon and it spell checks any web box such as this one.. Great little tool...
