Would it be possible to have a link available so that you can get to the to the Diaries of the person whose message you are reading? Ie: Often someone will say "I posted blah in my diary go look" and you have to leave the board, go to the diary list, find their name, and so forth. If there was a link under their name directly to a page listing their diaries it would be easier.

Also, list of diaries by person that can be bookmarked? There are some people local to me whose diaries I often read and it would be nice if I could bookmark those and go directly to them.

This website doesn't support live links. But people can & should include the URL of the page they want comments on just by copy & paste.

Example. Here is the main dairy index:

Now lets say for instance you want to follow one person's dairy. The entries will be in the order by which that person last posted. It's been a while so I used "edit/find" typing my handle name into the search field. One more click brings us to here:

http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryView.asp?season=2004&grower=21025&action=L

If you were following my diary, this is where you'd want to bookmark.

The only way I can do what you mention without going nuts is to have 2 browser windows open at the same time. Not shocking for me since I might have 3 or 4 going at a time sometimes. LOL

You can get the google toolbar and drag and drop the links into the toolbar and go directly too them. and it stops popups too.

Hrm, was referring to the addition of a diary address to our user profile. Everyone's name in a post has their email address attached -- obviously part of the user profile. Simple matter to have the database update with the Diary URL if someone creates a diary, no? Dunno what type of board software bigpumpkins is using. Sorta looks like an old version of UBB, but it's asp.

Could bookmark it as you say, certainly! Would be nice to have a list of all your diaries by year as well though. Just my 2 cents :)

Toolbars and I don't get along too well. I installed one once and both Spybot and Spyhunter found a massive amount of spyware on my machine. I told them to go ahead and trash it. I use Enigma for popup stop. Thanks for the ideas though!

I use both spybot and adaware and the google toolbar on all my machines and my client's machines as well, they all play nicely together and are the right price. Although you are correct most toolbars load you up with a bunch of spyware. Especially My search bar.
