can anyone tell me anything about the use of hydrogen peroxide in the germination process? i read about it in some posts recently--using the stuff this morning for something else, so figured i'd put a seed in a plastic dish and cover it with the stuff---seed was fizzing last i saw...any info would be great...for the benefit of all...thanks!

Hey Pumpkinpal....In the general discussion page dated 4-4...AXC posts a site on hydrogen peroxide and exchange of oxygen to the roots..Take a look at the site...A quart bottle of 3% hydrogen Peroxide makes like 50 kazillion gallons of solution...If your bubbling think you went way over the recommended rate...take a look interesting reading

thank you all--it would be neat to get things to sprout even quicker than 72 hours like most of mine do anyway-- although Scott's seed-starting mix and 90 degrees works well so far....i'll be checkon out that site tomorrow! my Checkon 815 is the only one that hasn't sprouted after 72 hrs., but tonite for sure!!!
