A question on seed quality, The seed I dryied from last have a brown/black tip. (strip the hull back) to try the advanced starting. When drying them it was damp and cool, some mold started the drying seed. Are these seeds good or should the tip be green/white. The seed I put in my wife's flower pot grew, but it was a whole seed.

if they sprout, they sprout.
are you saying that the seeds were trying to sprout as they dried?
i think i have read about that happening...
whenever i carefully remove the radicle tip of a seed,
the tip can look about any color since the material it is sheathed in is a very dark green. the seed MATERIAL is actually nearly white in color. again, sprout a few of them using different methods---good luck!

When you buy a bunch of writable CDs or DVDs, the post that they are stacked on is called a spindle (like a spindle of thread or yard). They normally come with a clear plastic cover. I think that's what he's using.
