I have two 4' aquarium lights i use to grow my starts. They work excellent as long as you keep the lights down close to the top of the plants. Last year, when i got up in the morning i turned them on and turned them off when i went to sleep. Can i leave them on all night or does the plant need some dark time? I am asking this for all my vegetable starts not just the pumpkins,,,

Plants need some time in the dark. It has to do with the photosynthesis process. 4 hours minimum

not only do they need to be in the dark at night they also should be in a cool area at night to get them hardened off for planting.
