Hello again!!! Thanks for all your advice after my last plea for help. Now I have four seeds all in pots. One of the seeds came up this morning, but it sure looks like it's going the wrong direction. It has 2 root-looking spikes (apx. 1 each long and white) that are starting to stick up out of the soil. Is it trying to tell me something about heat or moisture or something? Should I cover them up or just wait? Please help. THANK YOU!!!

cover the expose parts with soil...are you using top heat or bottom heat.

Did you plant the seed upside down by any chance
(Should be pointed side down)

I started the seeds in a plastic bag, and then moved them (horizontal) into the pots. I just would have thought that the roots would have known to grow down towards the heat.

Gravity does more than heat. The fool thing should get the direction right regardless of how bad we screw up planting them. Shannon's plan should work & if it doesn't, toss that trouble maker onto the compost pile.
