never tried it before just wondering if i got right stuff topical solution usp/10 volume contains 3%w/v hydrogen peroxide and what percentage in water want to try out before next year on some old seeds thanks ken

I just read the how to section went with straight water...less than 24 hours the roots were going crazie.....First time in 6 years and i will follow this way....

Ken,

Some growers used to use the 3% straight up. But they seem to experience damage to the cots going this strong. I've always used it half & half with water as an 8 hour soak at 85°F. We get our fair share of weird looking cots but I don't believe it has anything at all to do with the 50/50 peroxide soak. I was 12 for 12 germinating this year with only one weird set of cots so no complaints here.

I stated seeds in hydrogen peroxide 3% this season and the cots had n damage hears a pictue of how they turned out.

kat, kills the bad stuff, hangin out in the seed, I think...I always do a low % peroxide soak b/4 going into the damp towel, germination thing!!! Try site search for hydrogen peroxide, prbly lots of good advice!!! Peace, Wayne

Peroxide also aerates the water to a degree. I rinse my hands, the jar & paper towel in straight 3% to kill pathogens. The stuff is real cheap at almost any store.
