After seeds have germinated, and been put in soil, do you apply bottom heat until the plant has emerged?

Yeah, until it breaks soil surface. Then take off.

or leave it on,,,depending on what your goal is,,,if you want the plant to grow fast leave the heat on under the lights and you should be able to plant to the patch in 2-3 days.

Take it off the heat and things slow down abit if you are holding plants in for some reason.....just my .02

If the root tips get too hot, they will be damaged. The idea is that by the time it breaks through the dirt, the roots will be long enough to be near the bottom of the pot. Of course this depends on pot size, but generally.

Lower the heat for sure. We've been averaging 50F highs. The plants I've left outside are still growing...SLOWLY.
