I live in CT...I was figuring April 25th as a good start date. I've started earlier..and I've started later...This year I'm splitting the difference. What dtae are others in the northeast doing?? Mark

I think I am going to start April 24th. Last year I started on the April 1. That was way too early for me. I would start this weekend but the patch isn't ready. I want to make sure the patch is ready before I get them started.

lots of weighoffs are close to beginning of october , if you want to take it to one close to that time than start date could be from 25th of april - to - may 5th (OR SO) But if you want for late weighoff than you chances of it rotting by then increase if started to soon , probly start may 1 -to - may 10 or so ,, also theres a other factor that comes into play & that is little pumpkins abort if it gets too hot , & the later date means a pollenation that is out 10 pluss will be july 10th or so,, YES planning is more than it might seem !!!
