It took 15 days for my 842 Eaton seed to break through the soil and germinate. Constant fights with temp and moisture over that long of a period but I won! Other seeds planted at the same time had germinated in 2 to 3 days. Had all but assumed it was a gonner when finally it pushed throuhg. That was about a week ago and as of today, I can see the formation of a 1 cm first true leaf!

It's growing more slowly then the others and has a club root but it will go into the patch for its genetic value no matter what else comes from it.

I guess the old adadge is to just hang in there and never give up.

Greg, I feel yer pain...over the winter, a good friend of mine made me believe in a cross that I think is incredible!!! Today is day 12...and it is startin to push dirt....hopefully up and showin cots within the next week or so!!! LOL Dug it up only once...yes "club root"...but the post's I have read recently have led me to believe...if this one keeps on comin....it WILL get a lil extra attention!!! Peace, Wayne
