When your seeds are in the baggies on the propagation mat, should they be in total darkness? I can see my seeds through the paper towels. Thanks.

I can see mine also. I have no problems and can tell when the root starts to form.

from the tests i did this winter, i could also see my seeds when i had the light on, as you described in a baggie. i had them on the furnace in the basement, and they were in almost total darkness when i wasnt't checking them. they all germinated.

Yeah Pappy should be no problem...be sure you lay it back on the mat same side up...think I didn't and got some corkscrews in the root!
