Should i plant my seeds in seed starting mix or potting mix..or a blend of both?
Also, do I plant the seeds with the pointy end straight down?

Seed starting mix, flat or pointy end straight down. (I have never planted pointy end straight down)

I fill a one gallon nursery pot with potting soil, leaving enough room for a two inch layer of sterile seed starter mix on top. The seed germinates in the seed starter mix then digs its roots down into the potting soil. I plant the seed side edge down with the pointy tip in the center of the pot, with about half an inch of soil over the top edge. This is what has worked for me.
