I can never remember the best time to start the seeds. For my area, zone 6, when should pumpkins be started?? Is it different times for AGs and Field pumpkins? I would assume since fields will not get as large as Ag pumpkins. Thanks all for your help!

Ok, so if I would just down a couple of posts I would see I already asked this question...April 20th is the apparent winner, so I am a week behind!

Last year I started April 27th, you are not a week late, just depends how early you want to weigh them. Little early for Field Pumpkins IMO. Let the soil warm up some yet, they do better.

Start AG'S 150 days before weigh off. The first 20-30 days in pot and then in the ground! The field pumpkin 30 days after AG'S!
