Spreading the compost I got. Notice how dark my soil is.This is from over the years putting on compost, maple leaves and manure. I also till my Patch in the fall and add fertilizer to help brake down the leaves and grass I put on it. Then in the spring, I add more compost and till it in. The compost helps the soil hold water and brakes up the soil
