Here's a shot of our new pumpkin ranch with the sun setting I hope you can see everything. The tractor is in the back there by the "remodeled" chicken mansion. In the foreground is the #1 spot (30' X 40') that has been a veggie garden for thirty years, the area past the barb wire is part of the new 80 X 100 sqft pumpkin patch. The soil is coming along nicely with a pH of 6.7 and newly added 25 yards of rotted cow manure. We will plant a cover crop of winter rye, hairy vetch, and Austrian snow peas in the very early spring.
