This is my biggest marrow so far at 7 lbs. It's really the only marrow I have to show for. Sad little thing! It's a Robinsons Mammoth Onion Co. giant marrow. I had this variety get quite a bit bigger last year. This variety has pretty yellow stripes on it. I haven't had many females this year, and a lot of them end up rotting. Last year was much cooler than this year; so that might be what is going on, or I might stink at growing giant stuff. I'm starting to get some marrows on some of the Bernard Lavery and Richard Hope plants. They seem to be moving a long nicely. I'm getting nervous that powdery mildew is going to start hitting near the end of August before I get any big ones. At this point, I don't care if I get a big one, just as long as I get some seeds to save. BTW: Vote for Pedro! :-)
