This is a pic is of a large stem from a Amaranthus Australis (common name 'Giant Amaranth'). This plant doesn't have any flowers yet and is still growing. It already has a 14 inch stem circumference. Only 12 days ago it was 11 inches. These stems are capable of getting much larger.
