This is the shade I constructed for Harry. It was made with 3/4 inch PVC pipe and Shade cloth purchased at Home Depot. The structure is 8 ft long X 6 ft wide X 6 ft high. The front has the shade cloth folded up to show the pumpkin other wise it hangs down to the ground. The shade cloth covers the East, South and West sides and the Top. (Cost of shade cloth 6 ft X 48 ft = almost 50.00 dollars). It Lowers the temperature inside approximately 9 degrees. I dont know how much the Sun light is reduced but it is substancial. Will Know more as the seasons goes along. P.S. Hungry Harry is now at 97 inch circumfrence.
