I am looking for seeds from a darker orange colored AG(s). I have plenty of seeds to give to anyone that are from my 373 pound and 420 pound AG's (self polinated) grown from Dill seeds I bought in 2003 (sorry I don't have the exact pedigree in front of me, but the Dill seeds were from a 900+ pounder). Any help on finding some darker orange color would be appreciated!

There are some good orange color crosses on Dill's site for this year.
Just a thought.

I myself like the Muller 650. Look in his diary for yourself. He was very generous with giving me seeds.

I'd look for anything with the 1016 Daletas or the 1225 Jutras in it's ancestry, they both throw pretty orange fruit. Mike Frantz's 1125 Frantz was a great colour.

I still have some seeds left from my 2003; 689.5 which I grew from the Calai 869.5; I selfed the pumpkin. The offspring has been proven to throw out bright orange pumpkins. Pictures of my 689.5 are on my 2003 diary and there are some photos of its offspring on my 2004 diary as well as the North Shore Boyz diary and a picture of Andy Boxs entry in Elmira on PGPGA Rocks 2004 diary. My email is nedsand@ptd.net

UtGrower, talk to Brooks B. He grew a great looking NEON orange color fruit you can see on his grower diary. Think it was his 374 Bosworth?

Hi UTGrower, check out our seed auction line up on the main page, the SNGPG. We have two lots of the Joe Jutras collection that will be up to support or new club. Joe's 1225, 846, and 604 all throw beautiful orange pumpkins. Good Luck Peter

Ut, Look at my diary at my 374 pumpkin, I grew it off a 940 wentzell seed, The 940 was a yellow color, But this could be because the 940 wasnt fully mature when she blew.
id be glad to send you seeds if you like.

I could not agree more with Ned. His 689.5 throws nice large very orange fruit. My friend grew a 310 (in a very small space) and was a first time grower. I would take Ned up on his offer and if you want selfed 689.5 seeds I have those too from the 310.

Happy growing/Glenn

You are all on the right track. My 497 was a 869.5 Calai x Self and anything
like that (Ned) seed or an 801.5Stelts x Self (Martin) or even the Daletas x self all have great chances of producing nice orange pumpkins. There is never a guarantee though as Martin knows. He's one of the 15% or so of people who grew a squash from the 845Bobier00.
Best of luck to ya and I have one or two 497 seeds if you need them.

Can anyone tell me what color trait is dominant in pumpkins: orange or green?
